Annual steel ingots, blooms and bars production capacity 140 000 metric tonnes - 154 000 US tons

Cast Blooms- Octagons Squares 308mm across corners *(67069 mm sq.) 262 mm across corners *(48531 mm sq.) 232 mm across corners *(38054 mm sq.) *(Cross-sectional Area) 150 mm Ingots 3mt (Sqr:Bottom428mmXTop466mm) 6mt (Ribbed:Bottom700mmXTop810mm,nominal dia) 9mt (Ribbed:Bottom812mmXTop990mm,nominal dia) each Rolled Rounds 36 mm to 160 mm dia. Higher sizes can be supplied forged, with special arrangements at open die forging vendors. RCS/Squares 60mm to 300 mm sq.

Steel bars can be supplied to mill length 3 to 6 mtrs with 15% shorts down to 1 mtr or to specific lengths with extras.

Steel Making Process

All steels are melted and refined in the SMS equipped with EAF-LF-VD-VOD and cast in:
1. CC Bloom Caster 21 X 10.5mtr radius with Liquid metal stream shrouding, AMLC, Mould-cum-strand EMS
2. Ingot moulds (Bottom poured) teemed uphill in wide end up, again with inert gas stream shrouding.
The As Cast Heat size is 25 mt (from VOD); 30mt (from VD); 35 mt (from LF/EAF).

Supply conditions: As cast/rolled, Peeled, Cold drawn, Annealed/ Normalised/ Spheroidised-annealed, etc.

All steels are rolled in our 750mm 2-hi reversing blooming mill, 550mm 3-hi intermediate mill & 550mm 2-hi finishing mill.

Steel Grades

Steel blooms and bars can be made to various International Standards i.e. American, German, British, French, Japanese, etc.
Steel can also be made to aerospace standards

Ball Bearing Quality: SAE 52100, 8219, 4319, DIN 100Cr 6, JIS SUJ 1/2/3, etc.

Alloy Constructional Steels

Case Carburising: SAE 8620/4320/8219, DIN 17CrNiMo6, 20MnCr5, BS 820H17, JIS SCM 415, etc.

Nitriding: BS 905M39(En 41B), JIS SACM 645, etc

Thru’ Hardening: SAE 4340/4140/4130/1541, BS 709M40/817M40, DIN 42CrMo4, JIS SCM 435, etc

Stainless Steels: All Austenitic, Ferritic, Martensitic, Precipitation Hardening, etc

Tool and Die Steels: Hot Die: DIN 1.2714, ASTM H 13/H 11, etc Plastic Mould: P 20, DIN 1.2344, etc

All Carbon Constructional Grades, Semi free cutting Grades, Boron- Steels, Spring and Valve steels, etc
